First Step

This is the beginning of my right of passage into the world of blogging. I will start with this short and sweet statement that I believe in whole heartedly. . . “Art is the visual link to the Artist’s soul.”
An artist is defined as an individual willing to express his/her thoughts, feelings and ideas in both the raw and refined state (My definition). The label of artist at times, has been limited in scope to individuals who can draw the perfect line. I feel that that perception segregates fledgling artists from the multitude of materials available for expression.
I have always considered myself an artist. Maybe other individuals would think otherwise due to my subject matter or approach to a particular medium. Although I am open to critics, in the end I am the person left with the brush and it is my choices that will give me piece of mind.
