Protective Mother is an oil painting that I painted about 3+ years ago.
I thought the eyes of the mother displayed everything that words can never do justice representing. She is forever watchful of her off-spring.

I find it interesting that the magazine clippings you listed as materials in this piece are pretty much only visible as texture. Even here the layered texture of this piece comes through nicely, which is quite cool and a good fit. I like it!
